Charming Sylvester is our solid sterling silver cat with 14k gold vermeil details. He has two dangly legs with heart shaped 14k gold vermeil feet and a curly tail with a 14k gold vermeil heart shaped tip. This necklace has our shortest chain and fastens with a lobster claw clasp & will come packaged in a lovely gift pouch. Sylvester was designed and hand drawn by One Button founder Amanda, and then translated into sterling silver by a silversmith.
For our 925 sterling silver jewellery we use 14 carat solid gold of at least 2.5 microns thickness. Vermeil is a technique originating in the 19th century where gold was applied to sterling silver. Vermeil is 5 times thicker than normal gold plate (which can tarnish & wear off) and therefore far more durable for your jewellery.
DIMS: necklace measures approx 42cm plus 4cm extension chain. Length of Sylvester is 1.7cm, height is 2cm (approx).
